Enchanting and Beautiful Shampoo Review and Giveaway

>> Wednesday, June 25, 2008

I have been on a search for paraben-free shampoo, and even better a homemade paraben-free shampoo. So I was quite pleased to find Enchanting and Beautiful's Etsy shop with Marti's all natural and paraben-free products.

You may wonder "What are parabens and why would I want to avoid them?" As with all things there have been studies on both sides, however I would encourage you to do some research for yourself on what these preservatives could potentially do to your body. After my research I decided I would rather play safe and steer away from products containing parabens.

I love peppermint, it smells so invigorating while you suds up your hair, and is a very pleasant way to wake up. Providence and I were inhaling to our hearts content while lathering her hair, knowing that it was essential oils we were smelling and not something synthetic (which often make me sneeze). Natural shampoo is something that you do need to get used too, as it doesn't suds quite as much. Also it doesn't strip your hair of their natural oils, meaning till your hair adjusts it may seem extra oily.

*My shampoo did come with labels but Marti didn't stick them on because they're not waterproof. She is working on a waterproof label now, but I kind of like how simple the bottles look in my bath.*

Win it: Enchanting Beautiful is offering our readers a chance to win a set of Shampoo and Conditioner with winners choice of favorite scent (phalates free) or Essential Oils. You can pick one or a synergy of two.
